The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) Foundation in collaboration with Serco are delighted to offer a scholarship to support a rural or remote mental health nurse studying postgraduate study.
The scholarship is valued $2,500 towards the cost of postgraduate study, this contribution includes but is not limited to the following:
- Course fees
- Text books
- Other study related costs.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to members and non-members who meet the following criteria:
- have current registration as an enrolled or registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- work in an Australian rural area described by the Modified Monash Model as a registered nurse whom also resides within the MM3 to MM7 categories
- work in the mental health sector.
- currently enrolled in a postgraduate course, such as a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or masters.
How can I apply?
To apply you will need:
- proof of identity (drivers license or birth certificate)
- evidence of residential address, such as a utilities bill or rates notice.
- a current resume (detailing experience);
- copy of current nurse registration.
- Confirmation of your employment in the mental health sector and position.
- Confirmation of current enrolment in a postgraduate course.
The scholarship will be awarded to the student who can best demonstrate their suitability in their response to the selection questions outlined in the application.
Applicants are asked to complete and submit this form along with the above required documents, which can be uploaded at the end of this form.
